Tignanello Antinori represents a real milestone in the history of the most important , historical and famous wines of Italy , the wine is the work of the Marquises Antinori, winemakers for over 600 years and, precisely by the hand of Giacomo Tachis , patriarch of Italian winemakers and absolute forerunner of many winemaking projects and successes.
The wine takes its name from the homonymous hill located in the heart of the Chianti Classico, to mark the success of Tignanello Antinori is the combination of classic production methods and a strong innovative spirit: in fact it is the first wine ever to blend Sangiovese ( 80%) with small percentages of Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc and also represents the first Sangiovese in the world to be aged in small barrels, or in barriques.
On the nose, clear aromas of cherry and small berries emerge which combine with balsamic hints of mint and notes of chocolate and dark spices . On the palate it is harmonious and supported by a smooth tannic texture that combines with a well-integrated freshness and an elegant minerality that persists in the long finish.
Because this is an aristocratic, opulent and harmonious Tuscan wine , with a wide aromatic background.
A powerful and very balanced Tuscan wine that represents in all respects the true excellence of Italian enology , not to mention that in this format you have twice the fun !
Accompany him to a dinner with a menu based on meat , cured meats or aged cheeses , you will make each dish even more special and you will be elected ad interim Sommelier!
Prepare the glasses and uncork the bottle, let the wine 'breathe' for at least 15-30 minutes and serve it at a temperature of 18-20 °C.
The fermentation is first of an alcoholic type, then the wines are placed in new oak barrels , where a second fermentation takes place in order to reduce the acidity.
The refinement takes 12 months, and takes place in barriques, at the end the wine rests in the bottle for a further year.
Tignanello was born in Tuscany, and more precisely in the vineyard of the same name, located on the Tigneto estate between 350 and 400 meters above sea level, for an area of over 47 hectares .
The soil is of calcareous origin , with numerous tuffaceous components , which contribute to giving the wine its peculiarities, also in terms of longevity.
