Description

A historic wine producer: the Jermann winery was founded in 1881 by combining the passion and foresight of a family of Slovenian origin, who grew up in Austrian vineyards and landed in Villanova di Farra, in the province of Gorizia.

In a few years the members of the family become owners of vineyards and in the seventies Silvio Jermann leads the family winery to the top of Italian and world quality.

Jermann's Sauvignon IGT is an elegant and aromatic wine from 100% Sauvignon grapes , vinified and aged in steel to preserve the characteristics of this vine .

Intense straw yellow in color, the nose offers aromas of citrus, passion fruit, mint, tomato leaf and elderflower. On the palate it is fresh, elegant, with good flavor and a balsamic finish, with good persistence.

Why you should drink it

Why should we explain it to you when Jermann's Sauvignon can set its own tone?

This wine will conquer you sip after sip, constantly growing towards pleasure. An authentic and didactic expression of the Sauvignon grape , vinified in purity . Sometimes you don't need many words: let yourself be pampered and conquered by wine, for once.

When to uncork it

If you crave fish, but you don't know what, Sauvignon is the one for you: perfect in combination with seafood dishes, especially with sauces and soups of fish and crustaceans in white and mixed grills.

And if you are at home in sofa mode, relax and sushi even better: this wine is a bomb.

How to drink it

Keep the Sauvignon in the fridge! We like to drink it at 10 ° C.

Vinification and Aging

The harvest takes place in September. The wine is then left to age on the lees in steel tanks for about six months and a few months in the bottle.

Territory

The Ribolla , Tocai and Riesling vineyards used for the production of Vinnae enjoy differentiated exposures ranging from South-East to North-West, in the vineyards of the Villanova estate, in Farra d'Isonzo.

Soil

Prevailing marls and sandstones belonging to the Flysch formation of the Eocene age that give rise to a rocky substrate which transforms itself into the characteristic “ponca” of the Collio area.
