Description

The village of Castelgiocondo dominates the historic Frescobaldi estate in Montalcino, an ancient stronghold built to defend the road that led from the sea to Siena.

Here is born the Rosso di Montalcino "Campo ai Sassi" , produced with 100% Sangiovese grapes , a fresh and fragrant wine produced by Frescobaldi in this splendid estate, this wine can be defined as the younger brother, lively , immediate , less tannic and demanding of Brunello.

The nose releases aromas of violet, blackberry and small ripe red fruits that intertwine with mineral and slightly spicy hints. In the mouth it is very balanced , supported by a gentle freshness and a smooth tannic texture that enhances its elegance.

Why you should drink it

Because this is the PERFECT bottle for those who love Sangiovese from the Montalcino area, but who also want an immediate, fruity and easy-drinking wine .

When to uncork it

Vinification and Aging

Traditional red vinification with a period of maceration on the skins of about 18 days , maturation in oak barrels for 12 months and completes the refinement process with a few months in the bottle before being put on sale.

Territory
