Mediterraneo is a Ligurian white wine , fresh and large sip characterized by a lively sapidity, it has aromas of Mediterranean scrub , citrus and mineral stone, on the palate the olfactory sensations are confirmed by a deep and sapid sip, a sea wave that don't let go anymore .
Produced by Giorgia Grande a young winemaker from Cornice , a small village in Val di Vara , located in the first Ligurian hinterland of the famous Cinque Terre in collaboration with Luigi Zoli, traveling distributor of natural wines and myself ... in short, Giorgia does everything.
This is the classic wine produced from the Cinque Terre blend , therefore white grapes from old vines in which the grapes known as Bosco and Albarola are predominant. It is not for nothing that we are talking about a vineyard of about six thousand meters on the coast of Riomaggiore, a paradisiacal terrace that breathes the sea.
Giorgia produces wines from grapes grown with traditional gestures , in an organic regime, in fact only with grapes of the highest quality can natural wines be produced without defects or inaccuracies, Mediterraneo is the example of a Liguria di Levante in great movement , which through small and very small productions manages to carve out a space for itself on the table of great Italian wines.
Try this gem before it disappears, only 1240 bottles were produced in 2021!!!
We're talking about a salty, taut and deep sip, a Ligurian wine that finally tastes of the sea and vacation , don't ask too many questions and take it immediately before it runs out, it's a limited edition of just over a thousand bottles and above all very good!
Let's get to know this Ligurian new wave, a gem not to be missed!
This is a fresh and highly drinkable wine , a wine that teleports you on holiday , ready to drink today with the most varied fish preparations or enjoy it in 2 or 3 years at most.
Serve it cool in summer or cellar temperature in the cold season , it's a living wine, don't anesthetize it in ice!!
The grapes harvested at the beginning of September are destemmed and fermented with the skins for at least 3 days , there is no addition of yeasts or stabilizing elements. An ancient, "low-tech" wine today becomes the most contemporary story of the territory .
We are on the Ligurian coast of the east , the cellar is located in the small village of Cornice in Val di Vara but the vineyard extends for 6000 meters on the coast that leads from Riomaggiore to La Spezia, a paradise with a 180° view of the Ligurian Sea .
Coastal terraces overlooking the sea , characterized by soils with a large skeleton , and very little earthy layer, the result? Thick grapes for a strongly characterized wine!
