The Greco Di Tufo Docg Grotte di Colli Di Castelfranci is a wine produced with 100% Greco di Tufo grapes , a noble vine of very ancient origins already described and praised by Virgil in the «Georgics», it seems to date back to the 1st century BC

Colli di Castelfranci is an Irpinian company born from the collaboration of the Gregorio and Colucci families, who have been making and bottling the grapes from their own vineyard since 2002 and producing high quality wines .

This Greco Di Tufo Docg Grotte di Colli Di Castelfranci presents itself with fruity aromas and hints of ripe yellow pulp, while in the mouth it shows a savory and fresh structure, supported by a beautiful softness and long aromatic persistence.

Vinification and refinement

Harvest of the grapes which are subjected to a long pressing of the undestemmed bunches . Fermentation at low temperatures for a month followed by élevage sur lies for 4 months in which the bâtonnage in steel is carried out every 2 weeks until the subsequent refinement in the bottle for a month.

The vineyards are located in the area between Montefusco and Santa Paolina , in the province of Avellino , a fantastic area where the typical Campania vines manage to reach perfect ripeness.
