The Feudi di San Gregorio winery can be identified today as the symbolic brand of the enological renaissance of southern Italy and of a drinking culture aimed at rediscovering the essence and identity of Mediterranean flavors: the Fiano di Avellino , the Greco di Tufo and Taurasi are today among the most important Italian denominations, thanks to a work begun over twenty years ago, and which still continues in the total safeguarding of tradition and in the search for all the potential of the territory.
The Cutizzi Greco di Tufo is straw yellow in color with golden reflections, the nose expresses all the varietal typicality thanks to an olfactory profile that ranges from plum to pear, hints embellished with balsamic tones reminiscent of mint. In the mouth you can immediately perceive the acid shoulder and the marked minerality typical of the territory alongside a body that is never predictable. The finish is also great, long and satisfying.
Because the Cutizzi Greco di Tufo belongs to the Selections line of the Feudi di San Gregorio Winery ! What does it mean? This selection is a range of wines that wants to express the best characters of the successful combination of grape variety and terroir. It comes from the basic idea of using only the best Greco grapes grown in the vineyards of Santa Paolina , on soils with precious chalky soils, which express grapes of great finesse and elegance.
The important thing is not when, but with whom!
In fact, Greco di Tufo doesn't give a damn about what's on the table: he always drinks well! Whether it is with a margherita pizza, with pasta, with fish or with meat, the result will be incredible in any way.
This is why it is important to choose well with whom to share it: be careful not to let it spoil!
The Greco di Tufo DOCG Cutizzi is excellent to drink between 10 ° and 12 ° C.
Fermentation takes place in steel tanks, at a controlled temperature of 16/18 ° C. The wine then rests, still in steel on its own lees, for about 4/5 months, with periodic bâtonnage. It completes its refinement with a few months in the bottle before being put on sale.
The company Feudi di San Gregorio is situated in Irpinia, in the province Avellino.
