The influence of the lake climate with its temperature ranges, the hilly landscape and the presence of heterogeneous plots with high permeability make this moraine area the ideal place forgive life to a wine of excellence.
The Franciacorta soil is essentially of morainic derivation: it is in fact made up, for the most part, of deposits transported in the last 700,000 years by the ancient glacier, the Oglio glacier. It is a very very particular terrain, rich in sand and silt, in which there are stones of different shapes, nature and color. Large boulders alternate with small fragments, pebbles and gravel.
