Description

La Gelsomina goes up to the volcanic slopes to propose creating this Etna Rosso DOC , Sicilian wine in every fiber of its being, born from 50% Nerello Mascalese and 50% Nerello Cappuccio grapes.

It takes time to draw from Etna Rosso DOC everything it has to offer, and to allow it to tell a story of territory and passion . In the glass it releases hints of red fruit and vanilla , placidly arranged in complex odorous clouds. In the mouth it is true magic , full and harmonious, respectful of the typical nature of the vines that determine its soul.

Why you should drink it

Gelsomina knows Sicily well and this Etna Rosso attests to this clearly , without leaving room for replies, a red that draws full character from the territory from which it comes, just like the many myths that find their roots in Sicily.

Not a red to be underestimated, certainly a wine over which you risk losing your head easily .

When to uncork it

A wine to uncork when you are looking for something out of the ordinary , in short, uncork it if you want to try an almost unknown specialty.

Excellent wine with red meats , game , tasty cheeses and dishes with intense and territorial flavours.

How to drink it

Uncork the bottle and let the wine breathe for just a few minutes , serve it at a temperature of 18° .

Vinification and refinement

A wine that follows a complex winemaking process , with steel for 2 months, tonneaux and barrique for more than a year and 4 months of rest in the bottle.

Territory

We are in Sicily , an island that has always been suited to viticulture, more precisely on the slopes of Etna where the vineyards used to create this red are located, a unique area in which the exposure creates favorable conditions for the cultivation of the vine and the obtaining of high level products.

Soil

The soil is of volcanic origin , with specific characteristics like an impressionist's canvas, in fact each lava flow that followed over time has left different characteristics to the various pieces of land.
