Collio DOC Friulano is a white wine produced by Carlo di Pradis , a historic farm in the heart of Collio , in Friuli Venezia Giulia , where respect for the surrounding environment is one of the main characteristics of the work carried out by the producers.
Collio DOC Friulano has a straw yellow color and offers a floral and fruity aroma to the nose with a typical note that recalls the scent of almond blossom and bitter almond with a hint of mint . In the mouth it is dry , intense and velvety .
Because this white wine is a cross -section of an entire region : drinking this bottle will open your eyes and mind to a different drinking culture , truly linked to a territory .
With one sip , you will feel like you are immersed in those rows and taste the flavor of that place.
In short: drinking a bottle of Friulano Collio DOC by Carlo di Pradis is drinking culture .
Why tell you when to drink this wine, when I can make you imagine it?
You're at home, on TV they play one of those cooking shows and you get the urge to get in the kitchen: your sweetheart gives you rope, turns on the music and the evening starts.
While you prepare the fresh pasta , she cooks a light sauce to accompany it. Baste a small plate with cheeses and cured meats , open the fridge and prepare two glasses : pour some Friulano Collio DOC by Carlo di Pradis and toast .
The rest is history !
We like this white wine served around 12-14 ° C.
The vinification begins with a soft pressing with a pneumatic press , followed by static cleaning of the musts with decanting at 10-12 ° C for 48 hours and subsequently with the start of fermentation in steel barrels at a temperature of 14-16 ° . At the end of fermentation , racking begins to remove the heavier lees, the barrels are filled and refined in the same until bottling with weekly “ battonage ” to keep the yeasts in suspension .
We are located in Pradis , in Cormons , in the middle of the Collio - Friuli Venezia Giulia .
Soil arenaric marl ( ponca ).
