With a history that starts from the Etruscan import, passes to the Ligurian to the Roman one, the art of these vines is carried on by Cantine Lunae and its founder Paolo Bosoni : with passion and trust of the family tradition, it has given life to some of the best white, red and Vermentino wines of the Liguria region.
The Rosso dei Colli di Luni of the Bosoni family has an intense ruby red color, on the nose persistent aromas of ripe fruit, berries, plums and red mulberries. In evidence the spicy note that recalls black pepper and licorice. The wine is warm and soft but well balanced by an important and pleasantly tannic structure.
In the meantime, you must know that C antina Lunae is one of the Ligurian oenological excellences , and this should be enough to convince anyone, but we exaggerate.
This red is a blend of Sangiovese , Ciliegiolo and Canaiolo grapes of excellent quality, refined and prestigious that is able to charm even the most demanding palates: why not try it?
The Lvnae Ligurian Rosso is that perfect wine to drink in front of a table full of friends, cold cuts and salami!
A bit of meats and cheeses and so on ... In short, the next barbecue could be a good party to uncork.
The ideal serving temperature is 16/18 ° C.
The harvest begins in mid-September and is carried out strictly by hand. Then the vinification develops with the fermentation in stainless steel tanks and the technique foresees a permanence of the must on the skins for about 10 days; after racking, the malolactic fermentation takes place completely in steel tanks and the final refinement of 6 months takes place in large oak barrels. During the first phase of the production process, the must and the wine are kept at a maximum alcohol content of 18 ° C by means of a temperature control system.
We are in a corner between Liguria and Tuscany, in the middle of the vineyards located between the plain and the low hills, the Ligurian Sea and the Tyrrhenian Sea in the background, with the sun and the wind in the background. From here are born sapid, Mediterranean wines with hints of the sea and genuineness.
The variety extends over 45 hectares of land divided between hills and plains, characterized by very small plots, no larger than 2 or 3 hectares. The composition of the soil is geologically very varied, characterized by skeleton and clayey silt depending on the altitude.
