This Chardonnay by Planeta is a mythical white wine, born from the vision of being able to compete with the world in the production of this noble and widespread grape variety, Chardonnay, vinified alone .
The story of Planeta and the Chardonnay vine begins in 1985 and finally, after more than thirty years , Planeta's Chardonnay has become a real icon , both locally and internationally .
Characteristic aromas of peach, apple, vanilla cream and hazelnut. In the mouth it is full , soft and creamy , but above all well balanced by a certain acidity.
Because this wine has become the image of the change in winemaking Sicily , one of those bottles that everyone MUST taste sooner or later.
Enjoy it throughout the meal , this Chardonnay in particular goes very well with raw ham platters or risottos and white meats .
Uncork it and let it 'breathe' for about fifteen minutes, to be served at a temperature of 10°-12°C .
Alcoholic fermentation in barrique at controlled temperature followed by aging for 12 months in oak barriques, partly new and partly second passage.
We are in Menfi , in the eastern part of the island, near Lake Arancio , where the Ulmo estate and Dispensa are located.
The soil is rich in skeleton , weakly calcareous but with clayey tendencies .
