Champagne Grand Brut is the historic jewel of the Perrier-Jouët house, the first Brut created by the prestigious Maison in its search for perfection and absolute refinement.
Brilliant straw yellow with fine and persistent perlage. Delicate to the nose, it lets you perceive floral and fruity fragrances, followed by light notes of butter and vanilla, and citrus nuances. The taste is fresh, round and vinous, broad and lively but still balanced until the finish.
Ladies and gentlemen: we have before us the first bottle of Champagne Brut created by the maison, way back in 1856.
A piece of history, 75 cl bubble format: one of the most tasted Champagnes in the world, which rests for three years on the lees and is reconfirmed for its refinement, uniqueness and taste. An absolutely not to be missed piece.
Did you say romantic dinner ahead?
Then you are on the right page!
Start adding this bottle to your cart because trust me: it will be the trump card of the evening.
I recommend: also get busy in the kitchen, it's not enough to have THE bottle if you then combine it with any pasta dish. Prepare yourself a nice risotto, maybe asparagus and parmesan, et voilà: you won easy.
These bubbles should be served very chilled: enjoy them at 6\8°C.
The vinification takes place through alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in steel , with refermentation in the bottle and disgorgement according to the Champenoise method . The refinement is then 36 months on the lees.
Champagne Grand Brut Perrier Jouët comes from an assembly made up of 40% Pinot Noir , another 40% Pinot Meunier and 20% Chardonnay . The Pinot Noir grapes , which give the final sparkling wine structure and vinosity, come from the Grand and Premier Crus of Mailly, Versy, Aÿ and Rilly-la-Montagne. Those of Pinot Meunier , with fruity and seductive aromas, from the terroirs of Dizy, Damery, Venteuil, Vincelles and Vinay. Chardonnay instead, with its fresh and mineral character, comes from the Grand Crus of Cramant, Avize, Les Mesnil and Chouilly.
Different soils in the various areas of Champagne , all characterized by a massive presence of chalk.
