The Ornellaia 2019 Bolgheri Superiore by Tenuta dell'Ornellaia was obtained from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (51%), Merlot (27%), Cabernet Franc (18%) and Petit Verdot (4%).
They are the grapes of the great wines of Bordeaux, able to express themselves at the top of excellence even in that short and magical strip of Tuscan coast represented by the Bolgheri area , we are faced with a small masterpiece of world enology , ready to take its place in the "cellar of dreams" of every wine lover.
On the nose it expresses aromas of wild berries, hints of dark spices and delicate citrus notes of cedar, the sip is soft and dense , enhanced by a very fine tannic texture and an exciting spicy finish .
Because this is the symbolic wine of Tenuta dell'Ornellaia , this Bolgheri Superiore tells the broadest essence of that grandiose territory on the Tuscan coast, where the Bordeaux grapes are able to express themselves at unique levels for Italy.
A mythical wine , a must in every self-respecting cellar.
This Bolgheri from the Tuscan Tenuta Ornellaia winery magically accompanies game -based dishes or red meat .
Sublime also with refined risottos and important cheeses .
The ideal temperature for this bomb is 16°-18°C .
Fermentation takes place in steel vats followed by maceration in contact with the skins . Aging takes place in barriques , at a controlled temperature, for 18 months, 12 months separately and then for a further 6 months following assembly. Finally , a further refinement of 12 months in the bottle precedes marketing.
Tenuta Ornellaia is located in a splendid and wild area of Tuscany, in the heart of the Bolgheri area, dotted with cypresses and migratory birds, a few kilometers from the Tyrrhenian coast . The climate is mild with the sea breeze that continuously caresses and refreshes the vineyards in the hot months while the surrounding hills shelter them from the cold northern winds and storms.
The soils are rich and generous, of marine , volcanic and alluvial origin.
