A summer of BOTTLES with VINOVE SALES!!!
VINOVE' SALES!!
Whether it's meat, fish or vegetables, the time for grilling has finally arrived. Have you already thought about the wine to uncork?
In the spring season, known for its cool and sometimes still cold days, barbecues become true celebrations of seasonal change.
Despite the simplicity and conviviality of these moments in the open air, the choice of wine is crucial to enhance the different flavours, which range from land and sea dishes, through various side dishes and desserts.
To find the right combinations, the "Hard Grilling" selection returns. Here I have inserted ideal bottles for toasting under a sky that promises summer, for example the Gutturnio Superiore DOC from Luretta , certainly THE traditional wine of the Piacenza Hills.
We are talking about a perfect wine for a barbecue appetizer, made of cured meats, cheeses and Italian delicacies, or, even better, to be served directly together with freshly cooked meat.

What are the secrets to pairing wine with barbecue?
Speaking of barbecue dishes, we can say that, despite the great variety available, all products acquire some common characteristics once cooked. For example, the aftertaste may be bitter and intense, due to the effect of the grill and embers; furthermore, they will have a tender consistency on the inside and crunchy on the outside.
Thinking about barbecue, the association with meat is immediate and, when it comes to pairing a wine with a meat menu, it is important to consider the type of meat. For red meats, it is best to choose a structured and well-balanced red wine, such as Nebbiolo , Dolcetto or a Barbera , which are excellent choices.
As for white meats, which have a softer and more delicate flavour, they pair well with a strong white wine, such as Sauvignon or an aromatic Gewürztraminer , but also with a Rosé .
If the sauces or condiments add lively notes to the raw material, then you should opt for a fresh and structured wine, with a nice tannin, such as Gutturnio Superiore di Luretta , produced in the Colli Piacentini. This company produces iconic wines, capable of describing the territory far beyond its borders.
Gutturnio, whose name derives from an ancient Roman vase used for pouring wine during banquets, stands out for the uniqueness of its flavours, which oscillate between the fresh tenacity of Barbera and the red power of Bonarda.
Obtained from the simultaneous fermentation of Barbera and Croatina grapes, this wine tells of history, culture and the commitment of a winery which, by putting itself on the line, has been able to create wines waiting to be discovered. A wine that can also be drunk chilled, perfect for the conviviality of barbecues.

When faced with a grilled fish, it is possible to opt for a more daring combination of flavours, going beyond the classic concept of pairing a still white wine.
The choice? Italian bubbles, perfect to enjoy together with skewers of calamari, prawns or salmon, all dishes that are enhanced with a good Prosecco or an intriguing Franciacorta .
When talking about grilled fish, it is important to remember that the flavor is delicate, sometimes tending towards sweetness, here I choose Zanotto's Prosecco Rosé Nude .
It stands out for its balance between freshness and structure, thanks to the presence of red grapes in the winemaking, which give it a rounder body than the classic Prosecco. This characteristic makes it suitable for acting as a bridge between the delicate flavors of the fish and the intense notes given by grilling.
Furthermore, its acidity and effervescence are perfect for cleansing the palate, refreshing the mouth between bites, and its light note of sweetness can harmonize perfectly with marinades or sauces.

Grilled vegetables tend to taste bitter; in this case, it is advisable to choose a soft wine, such as a Chardonnay or a GewĂĽrztraminer .
H. Lun's GewĂĽrztraminer pairs beautifully, thanks to its herbaceous and floral notes that complement the vegetables perfectly. Produced in the vineyards of Termeno, in Alto Adige, this wine embodies the essence of the GewĂĽrztraminer variety, famous for its fascinating complexity.
Juicy and full, drinking this wine is like biting into a GewĂĽrztraminer grape, with a finish that lingers pleasantly, leaving a refreshing aftertaste. H. Lun's GewĂĽrztraminer represents a superb expression of the South Tyrolean terroir, perfect for wine lovers looking for something unique to accompany grilled vegetables.
