VINOVE' SALES!!
The first cold weather is arriving and do you still want white wines? Nothing strange.
Traditionally, white wine is considered the ideal choice for the hot season as its decidedly lighter and fresher flavor goes well with sultry climates.
But I want to dispel this myth, in reality white wines, thanks to their organoleptic characteristics, adapt very well even to cold temperatures, especially in combination with some typically winter dishes.
Winter is the season during which we willingly go down to the cellar, to collect bottles of wine that perhaps have been put aside for the cold season.
A good white wine, drunk at room temperature, is able to warm the whole organism following the process of dilation of the blood vessels which increase the blood supply in the various parts of the body. The important thing is to choose a wine capable of to face the harshest winter, without the nostalgia of summer.
A choice could certainly be Unterhofer's Alto Adige Kerner Doc, a Trentino wine that since its origins has been able to stand up to harsh climates, a white with good structure, almost fat on the palate but balanced by a mineral tension that the expert hands of Unterhofer he managed to valorise.

The famous saying "good wine makes good blood" refers to the requirements of this drink which, in addition to promoting vasodilation, helps to strengthen the immune defenses by fighting bacterial and viral infections, typical of the cold months.
White wine, with the presence of antioxidant compounds, fights the presence of free radicals, responsible for numerous disorders that manifest themselves mainly during the winter season.
In some cases, white wine has proven to be an effective remedy against joint and arthritic syndromes, as a result of the high concentration of minerals present in its composition.
For harsh winter days, a cold white wine is certainly not suitable, as it would only enhance the unpleasant sensation of frost. In fact, during the winter season it is sufficient to serve it chilled, perhaps just taken from the cellar, to avoid a sudden drop in temperature throughout. the organism.
To choose a white suitable for the season you can start by looking at a region that knows the cold well, so why not start with a wine that has its home among the high Dolomite peaks?
We are talking about Alto Adige Kerner Doc by Unterhofer , an exceptional Trentino wine that knows how to make you face the harshest winter, Kerner is a typical vine from the upper part of South Tyrol and in this bottle it contains its hints of apricot and peach, all accompanied by a good structure and an almost fatty palate but perfectly balanced by its minerality.
Kerner is a wine to be discovered, Kerner and no, not in the sense that you have to taste it to discover its details, I mean that it really is to be discovered because it is not yet very widespread.
A mountain man who likes the sea but above all an Alto Adige to discover.

From the Alps we descend a little further south, to Friuli Venezia Giulia, here we find Jermann's Trevenezie Traminer Aromatico Igt , born from an aromatic vine found in the heart of Friuli, the perfect habitat.
This Aromatic Traminer represents all the great effort that Jermann puts into each of his wines, it brings delicate and clear varietal scents to the nose, while in the mouth it is a real triumph, it is soft, fresh and substantially balanced.
Precisely for these particularities it is one of the best Friulian wines, to be drunk calmly with a veal and potato stew which is an unmissable dish in this season.
In all cases this is one of the wines that best represents the symbiosis between Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Traminer Aromatico.
