VINOVE' SALES!!
What does it mean to be artisans in the world of wine?
In this world, behind every bottle of artisanal wine, there are essential ingredients such as passion, sweat, effort and the hands that have worked that land, perhaps stony and steep, for months and years before obtaining that bottle.
The culture behind the ARTISAN WINES is impressive, it is a book that encompasses the territory, the peasant and popular culture, the ancient agricultural techniques or the biodynamic agriculture that has its roots in the texts of Rudolf Steiner at the beginning of the 20th century.
So every time you open a bottle of good artisanal wine, reflect, while you drink it, on all the culture, history and humanity that is inside that bottle, this is the best way to become passionate about wine and develop your oenological curiosity .
Even knowing a company is always a "turning point" in the knowledge of artisanal wines, in fact true symbiosis is created between the wines and their producers, as in the case of Angelo Pastura's Langhe Nebbiolo Doc .

So to be artisanal do you have to respect the culture of wine?
It is certainly important, the culture of wine is something that encompasses the entire human experience at 360 degrees, dedicating oneself to the land to be cultivated as if it were a loved one, often even more, giving it years and years of one's life, with many hours a day of sweat and effort, and waking up at dawn.
Anyone who has visited the so-called "heroic" viticulture areas knows well how much work must be done to harvest the grapes on those steep plots, on those steeply sloping terraces, perhaps to harvest the grapes vineyard by vineyard, one parcel at a time.
This is why it is important to get to know an artisanal winery, it is always a total immersion in humanity, never in industrialization and mechanization, you begin a journey through the soul of the territory and the most intimate character of those who work that land.
A strong bond is perceived between that earthly and universal macrocosm and the agricultural microcosm, until the wines turn out to be just like their creators: histrionic, surly, closed, reserved, intellectual or passionate, impulsive or reflective, too constructed or genuine, just like her or him.
We were talking a little while ago about Angelo Pastura, an artisan company that passionately works its own territory which is located in the heart of the Langhe, in Neive, here respect for tradition is a rule, this is how their Langhe Nebbiolo Doc was born.
The company is 100% specialized with the Nebbiolo grape variety, and it is the only one it deals with, this guarantees that the grapes from the youngest Serraboella vineyards are selected and then carefully processed for the production of this excellent product.
The Neive vineyards are in a paradisiacal position, a natural amphitheater kissed by the best rays, as regards this Nebbiolo, the grapes from the youngest vineyards of Serraboella are selected, a typical geographical mention, among the most suitable and sought after by the producers of Barbaresco .
Also a little advice, you won't find this wine always and everywhere, production is very small and it certainly doesn't circulate in the most commercial markets: so take advantage of this opportunity to discover a bottle that will remain in your heart.

Even in Tuscany we can find several producers who continue their totally artisanal line, as in the case of the Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG from Gracciano della Seta .
A cuvée vinified from the historic Sangiovese vineyards, produced by one of the oldest wine-growing companies in Montepulciano, the history of the estate developed with Giorgio Della Seta, a former manager of a multinational who was unable to resist the call of his land: new structures for the optimization of grape winemaking operations, the use of historic rooms used as barrel cellars for aging, but above all the abolition of fertilizers and weedkillers and the predilection for manual and mechanical processes.
The Vino Nobile from Tenuta di Gracciano della Seta never appears lean, but round and multifaceted, with a structure that is silky and the moderate acidity of the fruit gives a velvety sensation and juicy liveliness.
A stubborn but captivating character who will be able to get you on his side.

Today we also discover Unterhofer, an artisanal reality that in a concrete way knows how to give shape to a sincere and authorial interpretation of the territory, fresh, tasty wines that respect the varietal, a reality waiting to be discovered.
The Unterhofer Kerner is an aromatic white wine that speaks of an Alto Adige waiting to be discovered, in fact the Kerner is a typical vine of the upper part of South Tyrol, only here in fact does it know how to express itself at its best.
Kerner is a wine to be discovered and no, not in the sense that you have to taste it to discover its flavors and aromas, but because it is not yet very widespread while everyone knows the classic traminer and sauvignon, but it will be fun to discover a South Tyrolean wine that really tells its territory perfectly but which has never had such commercial success.

So, why is artisanal wine succeeding?
We have said it a little, a sip that tells the story of a territory or a grape variety in a personal way is decidedly more interesting than a conventional wine that does the homework, pleases but stops there.
So long live sincere and direct wine and long live artisanal wine.
