Prunotto's Barbaresco comes from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, a traditional, full-bodied and austere expression: a wine with an unmistakable earthy and sylvan personality , endowed with all the greatest and typical characteristics of red wines produced in the Langhe.
The Prunotto winery has in fact demonstrated, with expressions like this, that it knows how to be modern , dynamic and innovative while remaining faithful to traditions and the territory. On the nose , notes of small red fruits, woody spices, leather, tobacco and violets stand out , while on the palate it reveals good body , structure and persistence with a nice sip that is supported by an elegant freshness and fine tannins .

Are you preparing an evening based on perhaps particularly elaborate red meats ? This is the perfect wine, it pairs perfectly with elaborate dishes based on red meat , game and mature cheeses .
Uncork the bottle and let the wine breathe for about fifteen minutes , serve it at a temperature of 16°-18°C .
Maceration on the skins for 10 days during alcoholic fermentation, at the end of the malolactic fermentation the wine is left to mature for 12 months in large oak barrels of different capacities, then it is bottled and refined for another 12 months.
We are located in the municipalities of Treiso and Barbaresco , here the vines are rooted in a soil rich in the so-called Marne di Sant'Agata, with a high presence of manganese, zinc and boron.
The territory is characterized by calcareous marl , i.e. sedimentary rocks composed of clay and calcium carbonate , and by sandy sedimentary rocks commonly defined as sandstone .
